Sozialverantwortliche Nutzung von Informations- und Kommunikationstechnologien: Soziale Veränderungen durch die Einführung neuer Informations- und Kommunikationstechnologien
Ziel dieser Leitaktion ist es, gesellschaftlichen Veränderungen durch den vermehrten Umgang mit Informations- und Kommunikationstechnologien zu untersuchen. Soziales und Kommunikationsverhalten werden hiervon maßgeblich geprägt. Die Beteiligung der verscheiden gesellschaftlichen Gruppen ist ebenso wichtig. Hieraus können Schlußfolgerungen über geeignete Maßnahmen getroffen werden, die allen Bevölkerungsgruppen den Zugang zu diesen Medien ermöglichen. Folgende Untersuchungen sind prioritär:
* Nutzung der neuen Medien von verschiedenen Bevölkerungsgruppen unter besonderer Berücksichtigung von Alter, Geschlecht, der sozialen Schicht, der beruflichen Ausbildung und der nationalen Herkunft;
* Risiken und Vorteile von Heim- und Telearbeit in sozialer Hinsicht insbesondere bei Frauen sowie Entwicklung von Modellen zur Existenzsicherung von Telearbeitsplätzen; * Veränderungen von sozialem und Kommunikationsverhalten durch die Nutzung von Informations- und Kommunikationstechnologien insbesondere bei Jugendlichen. | ||

The aim of this key action is to create the products and services of the Information Society to ensure full access, participation and equality for older and disabled citizens, to open up new markets and extend existing ones for European industry, and to implement new and cost-effective solutions to the social and economic challenges posed by the ageing of the European population in particular on the social and care budgets of all Member States.
This multidisciplinary RTD action will reflect the fundamental paradigm shift that has taken place in society - the replacement of the old view of older and disabled people as dependent and passive with the new focus on independent living and active participation as consumers and citizens. Priority areas include: · develop and evaluate more effective design tools that will enable the needs of a wider range of users to be addressed, and demonstrate how the use of Design for All methods can bring competitive advantage to mainstream product and service providers; · develop and evaluate systems to support autonomous living, enabling individuals to live as independently as possible and giving them access to a wider range of either informal or formal care services; · develop and evaluate systems that support social integration and participation of older people and disabled people in society, particularly the activities of work, education, communication, transport and leisure; · develop and evaluate adaptive or assistive technology devices addressing a wide variety of different impairments, such as visual, hearing, mobility, intellectual and psychological, and the new styles of user interface and interaction to support them. | ||
